Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for New Judicial Center in Barren County, Kentucky
Silling is proud to lead the design of this exciting new $50 million judicial center located in Glasgow, Kentucky. The three-story, 58,600 square foot facility will feature a one-story entry pavilion housing the security and screening lobby, and leads the public directly to the clerk of courts, conference and resource, and drug court spaces. In-custody defendant holding areas will also be located on the first floor, served by an access drive and secure vehicular sallyport from Water Street. The second and third floors of the Judicial Center will provide for highly efficient and cost-effective stacking of the courtrooms, judge’s chambers, jury deliberation, and court affiliated and support spaces. Planning of the project employs best practices for public, staff, and detainee zoning to ensure the safety of the end users as well as the purity of judicial operations.
Special thanks to the Barren County Project Development Board, County Judge Executive Jamie Bewley Byrd, Circuit Court Judge John Alexander, District Court Judge Gabe Pendleton, Family Court Judge Mica Pence, Clerk of Courts Julie Wright Jolly, the Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts, Integrity Architecture, and Alliance Corporation for this wonderful and collaborative partnership!
