Getting It Right.

More often than not, the notion of being obsessive is perceived as a bad thing. No doubt, a level of obsession inspired by certain objectives or coupled with the wrong attitudes can be unhealthy. But at Silling, in the practice of architecture we believe obsession – coupled with humility, selflessness, and empathy and partnered with thoughtfulness, diligence, and effort – represents kingly service and leads to rich experiences, relationships, and design outcomes.
In our firm’s 123rd year of existence, we are taking the opportunity to refocus and refresh. Simplification has been an intentional aspect of this process as we think about the outward expression of our brand and the words and mediums we use to retell our story. We are excited that you chose to engage with us in this post, and we hope you love our new crisp, clean, clear branding. We believe it reflects the legacy posture of the Silling studio and our passionate commitment to a very simple axiom.
Getting It Right.
While we are proud to share our rebranding with you, we are primarily doing this for ourselves. As we lean back into our long-standing mission and vision statements, we recognize as a creative studio that our goal represents the tangible way we’ll accomplish our mission. This rebranding is a part of our inward effort to grow, equip, and inspire our studio family to be their best care-giver, thought-leader, place-maker selves.
Restating who we are as simply Silling is both a nod to our lengthy history and an acknowledgement of who we have become. Most of you have been using this abbreviated monicker for decades. But we’re no longer just architects – we’re interior designers, planners, deliverers, change managers, representatives, advocates, servants, and more. Our refreshed brand is intentionally simple and not overly stylized. We’re embracing a strategic use of white space to quiet our minds, focus our attention, and strengthen our message. We’ve even selected a custom type font whose lines and weights we find true. We’ll admit, we are obsessing.
We are obsessing over our brand for the same reason we are obsessing over our daily practices and standards and our consistent attitudes and efforts – because you deserve our absolute best. A boutique, intimate, and sophisticated service experience. A recognition that you are valued and prized. For the ultimate reward of a job well done.
