North & South Residential Towers Renovation
The North & South Towers residence halls were in significant need of renovation when Concord University hired Silling Associates to complete the project. Of immediate concern to the University was the failure of the original exterior façade, most notably leaking walls and wasted energy dollars. A newly designed exterior façade and window replacement provides for increased energy efficiency, much-improved building aesthetics, and long term viability.
Additional renovations include interior finish upgrades to the sleeping rooms, ADA toilet renovations within the existing day care center, HVAC renovations, new emergency generator, partial roof replacement, new exit stair doors, and fire/life safety upgrades. Once completed, the once dated “Towers Dormitories” will have been creatively transformed into a 21st century student life facility.
